One rotor, caliper, and attaching hardware came in at 23 lbs. Keep in mind that the scale is for corner balancing a car, so it’s built to weigh thousands of pounds, not ounces. Therefore I wouldn’t be shocked if it was off by +/- a pound. The OEM equipment with a DBA 4000 series rotor weighed 30 lbs. Therefore, I show 7 lbs saved on each corner for a total of 14 lbs of unsprung weight saved. I didn’t weigh the new pads with the new AP equipment. This was an error I caught later. The old pads were less than a pound due to being worn down, and were roughly about the same weight as the mounting bolts which aren’t on the scale. The new tire from Kumho seems to fall squarely in the Enduro 200 category versus the Super 200s. It has plenty of grip, but not quite as much as the Bridgestone RE-71Rs that I am used to running on. However, the Kumhos were far more consistent for laps around the track and even on autocross. So far, the tires have been to one autocross, where I got seven runs on them, and one track day at Laguna Seca. I was out on track for 1+40 (5 20-minute sessions), and the tires were consistent the whole day. Additionally, they didn’t experience as much wear as Bridgestone. These Kumhos will be my go-to for a set of lapping tires, and they are one of the cheapest 200TW tires in 245/40/18. I’ll explore some of the Super 200 options for autocross next year. To the left are measurements I took for the track day and auto-cross. The tires have a new tread depth of 6.35 mm. The front tires lost about .5mm between the two events, and the rear experienced negligible tread wear.
